Elevated Skincare and Bodywork was founded by Lara Minichiello to provide the highest level of bodywork and skin care in a beautiful, inspired environment where every detail is considered.
Lara brings over 25 years of experience to Elevated. Her career began in luxury spas and women's wellness centers in the Back Bay and Beacon Hill neighborhoods of Boston and also Cape Cod. Due to high demand she expanded her practice to work with select cilentele in an out-call capacity.
In 2005 she relocated to Colorado where she worked for many years at Boulder's premiere spa, Essentials. She left the spa to focus on her fast growing private practice and in 2010 founded a workplace wellness company, working with thousands of clients in the greater Boulder/Denver areas including establishing weekly wellness programs at N.O.A.A (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) and and NIST (National Institute for the Standards of Time) working on both campuses from 2010-24.
In 2014 she became licensed in esthetics, focusing on active/reparative European facials and brow and lash work, with additional training in permanent makeup/microblading. She worked as an educator for Sanitas Skin Care developing and implementing a curriculum for a popular "Massage for Estheticians" class that she taught to licensed estheticians at their Louisville headquarters.
She has worked as a lead therapist in multiple settings and most recently worked as an esthetician and massage therapist at the beautiful Four Seasons Rancho Encantado in Santa Fe, before deciding to return to Boulder.
Areas of study/specializations in bodywork have included pre/post natal massage, TMJ work, Thai Yoga Massage, Sports Massage, Ayurvedic Marma Massage, Myofasical, Master of Orthopedic/Sports, Neuromuscular, Functional Anatomy and PNT and Pilates (BASI)
Areas of study/specializations in esthetics have included lash and brow design, microblading, microccurent, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, acne treatment, numerous body treatments and dermotillomania suppport.
She has studied and worked with many product lines including Natura Bissé, Elemis, Phytomer, Comfort Zone, Image, Sanitas, Osmosis, Yonka, Eminence, HydroPeptide and SkinCeuticals.
Lara has strived to perfect an experience in her bodywork sessions that is both luxuriously relaxing and deeply soothing to the nervous system, while also being incredibly effective in addressing tension patterns and facilitating muscle recovery. Her degree in Contemplative Psychology and study of meditation has greatly informed her approach to her work.
In her esthetics work, Lara is passionate about deepening the esthetics session to go beyond product application to attend to the entire person. Pulling from her vast bodywork expertise, she incorporates techniques to calm the nervous system and connect the entire body. Her facials emphasize massage technique and include myofasical and TMJ informed approaches as well as Japanese Facial Massage creating a unique and individualized experience.
Lara creates a space for clients that embraces the weary and the hopeful - the celebratory and the grieving. The battleworn and the inspired. It is a space to reconnect with the self and with each other. A space to heal and soften into the very cells of your truest self.
